Incisive communication that builds brands

Our process always begins with a discussion to clearly understand your business and exactly the message you need to convey to your audience. Building an effective, recognisable corporate brand relies on clearly communicating a narrative whether it’s through the design of a website, live event or industry report. The result is engaging, effective internal and external communication, that transforms businesses. We keep in touch with our client partners to talk through project results and measure performance. We’ll let the testimonials below blow our trumpet.

Business plans and strategies

We have worked with a number of chief executives and boards recently communicating strategies for their company’s progress over future years. These internal, board level documents help communicate to stakeholders a clear vision for the company, using a simple graphic report structure, diagrams and infographics. Often complex plans can be summarised in a transformation map or chart, defining KPIs for the organisation year by year. Interim reports allow at-a-glance updates to illustrate and monitor progress through the duration of the business strategy.

Our strategy reports have been well received by business leaders, who have seen their ideas get cut through with shareholders and within their industries, instead of important documents getting lost among the mass of communication senior executives now have to deal with. Strategy reports can be edited to remove sensitive information, and ‘light’ versions published for wider internal consumption, to motivate and involve staff in the process and even to communicate an understanding of targets and what is expected of key suppliers to a business.

“Fluid Design Studio have helped ACS take some complex ideas and information and used creative, clear graphic design to make them understandable to a wide range of audiences: Government, our own members, staff and industry contacts. This has given our messages greater cut-through externally, and delivered buy-in from within the organisation for an ambitious strategy. Fluid Design Studio are flexible and easy to work with and deliver everything they promise.”Chief Executive, ACS (Association of Convenience Stores)
“I'm really pleased with our new logo; it's fun, original and perfectly represents who we are as a TV production company. Working with Fluid Design Studio gave us the creativity and personal service we wanted.”BBC Top Gear's Richard Hammond on the new identity for Hamster's Wheel Productions

Case study: After a full rebrand by Fluid Design Studio across all of Armashield’s marketing channels, the company saw a tangible return on investment through the challenging recession in 2009/2010. “We saw turnover grow by over 30% after launching the website and sending out the new brochures” commented Armashield’s Managing Director, at a time when similar suppliers to the construction industry were going into administration. Armashield’s brief to Fluid for the rebrand was to communicate the high quality of the company and its products, aimed at engaging design conscious architects, specifying security doors and shutters on their projects.

“We found prospective clients kept the Armashield brochure/folder as they loved the design”. In one example the brochure design alone won Armashield a lucrative tender when the prospect told Armashield’s Managing Director “You’re more expensive than your competition, but we like the quality and design of your literature, so we’ll go with you”.

This example speaks for itself and we’re delighted to help Armashield so effectively with our ideas and design, particularly in such tough economic conditions. Good design grows businesses.
